A unique opportunity has arisen at a CRC Churches International outreach in the Morphett Vale region in the southern suburbs of Adelaide.
A church plant outreach has been established with a core group of twenty people, enhanced by an equipment resource base, and a relatively modest financial reserve. Owing to our commitment to forward planning, an opportunity has opened up for a younger pastor to be a part of this work of significant potential.
This could be the opportunity of a life time.
The Connect Church is looking at two possible scenarios that could be considered. The first possibility would consider a pastor of relatively little experience who could be begin in an associate position, and after two years mentoring move into the senior position. The second possibility would consider a pastor of more experience who could move straight into the senior position. The chosen option would be decided on by the experience of the successful candidate.
A part time stipend is being offered. This will be commensurate to experience. To add a further enhancement to this, the current senior pastor is on the local school chaplaincy support group. He is familiar with any school chaplaincy vacancy that may arise in the region, and could assist a potential candidate with the application process. This could add to the part time stipend while opening up employment in a ministry environment.
This is a wonderful prospect for any pastor who would enjoy the challenge of pastoring in a pioneering situation. There is a leadership team in place. The church has an established venue. The church has a good equipment resource base, and the church also has a moderate financial reserve. All the foundational work has been done.
Essential requirements include a long term and stable relationship with the Lord, a commitment to a Pentecostal theology, and a willingness for a pastor’s credential to come under the CRC Churches International. Bible College training in the area of ministry is required. There must also be a demonstrated ability to be able to pastor people inside the church, and an ability to relate to people outside the church.
Preferred requirements include experience in preaching, experience in youth ministry, and experience in music and worship ministry.
Should the successful applicant not have the required police clearances and mandated notification certificate, the church will pay for these to be completed.
