What a privilege it is to serve our awesome churches in NSW, ACT and QLD! I love what God is doing in each of our churches and the fellowship that exists between them. Building these relationships is so important and continues to be a focus for our States.

In terms of State events, it was great to join with the Victorian pastors at Albury last year and hear from Joel Holm. We have also had some excellent retreats which are becoming important events in our State calendar. This included the Pastor and Spouses retreat which was held at Wagga Wagga. At the retreat we had our own State Pastors share personal stories of their journey in ministry, marriage, trials and triumphs. We also went went and prayed over Rob Cunningham’s property where he is developing an amazing retreat called Elkanah. We’ve just received some updated photos and the building is nearing it completion.  We held our Emerging Leader’s Retreat in Narrandera in June and over sixty young leaders attended. Tim Lochens was our main speaker. It has become such a success that we have decided to hold it ever year. Our State Youth camp at Condobolin also continues to be a yearly success.

Next March we hold our State Conference in Albury and we have managed to secure Pastor Philip Mantofa from Indonesia as our guest speaker. Ps Philip has one of the fastest growing churches in Indonesia and is committed to see Asia in revival. His crusades host thousands of people and they regularly see hundred of salvations at these crusades.

We have Mark and Caroline Warren being sent from Narrandera next Easter to Canberra to church plant. As a State executive we want to support Mark and Caroline as best as we can and over a period of time we want to utilise some of our emerging leaders to help in outreach in Canberra with Mark.

It’s been great to see Caroline Dennis emerging as our State and National Kids Director. She is making contact with many of our churches and helping to resource and encourage leaders in this area.

I’d like to also thank Mel Beer who is moving on after serving around seven years as secretary and treasurer. Thanks for all your hard work Mel! We have a young man named Sam Morey from Albury who is taking on this position. Sam is an accountant and only twenty four, so we are excited about providing opportunities for our emerging leaders to take positions within the State.

We can report that the States are healthy and good things are happening.

Thanks also to our State Executive members. It’s a privilege to serve Jesus and our churches with you.
