Tribute-Pastor Darryl Stott

Our entire CRC family pass on our deepest condolences to Anne and her family on the passing on to heaven of dear Darryl.

It was my privilege to work closely with Darryl when he was leading for a few years the church we had earlier planted from the Christian Family Centre.

Like all of our CRC pastors who came to know Darryl over the decades, I loved and respected him as a man with strong convictions and whose generosity of spirit was legendary.

Darryl will be remembered in his CRC denominational family as a most honourable and faithful man of God.

His great big heart for people and his prophetic pastoral and preaching ministry touched the lives of so many.

Darryl was one of a kind and we will miss his big presence, honest forthright manner, raucous laughter, and the sheer joy he exuded in his service of Jesus.

From Naracoorte to Macclesfield, Darryl crossed South Australia in his ministry. always keeping Jesus and His Gospel of Grace central.

He never deviated from his Biblical foundations and singleminded focus on Jesus as Saviour and Lord.

We grieve with Anne and her family at this time, yet we rejoice that Darryl is free from his pain and suffering and is really enjoying being with Jesus.

What a marvellous living hope we have through our faith in our risen Christ, as we are assured that we will meet our fellow pastor and friend again.

I’m presently ministering in PNG, so I can’t be with you today, but you are in my thoughts and prayers.

On behalf of our entire CRC Churches International movement, I salute Darryl Stott as one of our beloved pastors.

Well done good and faithful servant and enjoy your reward in the very presence of the one you have served over the past half century.
