Condolences on the passing of Maureen Yates
16 Mar 2016
On behalf of the CRC Movement in SA, WA and NT, I send our condolences and encouragement in the Lord to Pr Royston Yates and his family on the recent passing of Maureen.
Together Royston with Maureen were part of a generation of pastoral couples that helped forge our direction as a movement in impacting our nation and beyond. Maureen was very much a partner in faith with Royston, with her ministry affecting so many lives. She will be truly missed by many. Of course our prayers go out particularly to Royston with his family, as the loss of your ministry partner in the Lord, her companionship, and her as a mother and grandmother as well, will be so impacting. May you all truly sense the Holy Spirit bringing you all His special comfort and support.
I trust the funeral service will truly honour her as a servant of the Lord and as a woman whom by her warmth of nature reflected Jesus to so many. The service will I’m sure bring together family, friends and colleagues gathering around special shared memories and reflections on Maureen’s life. May they fittingly express the words we’d all hope to hear on meeting our Lord… “Well done good and faithful servant.” She was that and for her service together with you in numerous CRC churches and particularly at Sturt St and Christies Beach, we’d so want to honour you Royston and Maureen in particular as we remember her.
God’s strength be with you all.
In Christ,
Hans Voortman
