Church plant report - Magnetic Church, Tarrawanna
23 Sep 2019
Magnetic Church, Tarrawanna, was birthed out of a week of prayer and fasting in March this year in seeking God for direction. On day one of the fast God told us we were to start our own church and even gave us the name. A friend then introduced us to the CRC Churches and through the help of the NSW/ACT/QLD State Chairman Pr Trevor Murphy we have been accepted as CRC Affiliated Pastors. We had been Assistant Pastors in 2 different churches prior to this for over 20 years and had resigned from our last church 3 years ago under God’s direction.
Magnetic Church opened on 16 June and we have been meeting for 14 weeks. We started with a core group of 24 people. Every week new people visit, and approximately 1 person per week has been added to the church. The word Magnetic means “drawing the presence of God and people together”. We have chosen not to advertise but wait on God and word of mouth to draw the people that He knows we can be a blessing too and ready to receive our ministry.
We are very much a discipleship style of church through teaching people how to build strong healthy foundations through the knowledge of the love of Father God. We desire to raise up others to do the work of the ministry and encourage people to step out of their comfort zones.
We have already conducted a Boot Camp (24 hours of prayer and fasting) and a Regenerate Retreat which is helping people be healed of their past so they can progress into their future. We have 7 people attending a Missions Trip to Mercy International Children’s Homes, Thailand in November. We have also doubled our Men’s & Women’s Connect Groups. We have regular church prayer meetings on Friday nights and know this is one of our greatest keys to church growth.
We give all praise and honour to our God who has been leading us and opened doors for us to walk through, too many to mention here. We thank Pr Trevor and the CRC Churches for their encouragement and accepting us into the Movement. We thank our people for believing in us and being part of this amazing journey and adventure that God is leading us on and evolving before our eyes.
God bless, Prs Jim and Pat Primossich
