Tribute - Bill Wyatt
18 Mar 2021
Bill Wyatt entered into heaven on the 30th January, 2021.
Bill was a great man of integrity, righteousness and strength. He walked in such a way that impacted thousands of lives around the world. His heart was for the King and the Kingdom and saw many lives restored, marriages healed, and freedom brought as the Holy Spirit lead.
Bill was born in Port Augusta, SA. After moving to Sandringham, Victoria and achieving many sporting and academic accolades he met Robyn and was married 11th January 1964. Shortly after that Bill was offered a teaching position in Sale, Gippsland at Sale Technical College. Here was where both Robyn and Bill were filled with the Holy Spirit and connected into the CRC Church in Moe. Later on, they planted a CRC Church in Sale that rapidly grew. Their home was an open house to many people that would drift in and out of the local farming community. Many people were saved through their connection to the farmers, the RAAF Base and Schooling Community.
After 14 years Bill packed up the family and moved to Christian Life Centre (Oban Road) Ringwood where he took up the Associate Pastor position under Ps Russ Hooper. In 1981 Bill and Robyn were asked to plant a church in Doncaster. This year this church now known as Manningham Christian Centre will celebrate its 40th year in the community.
Not only was Bill an exceptional Senior Pastor but also travelled the world leading Cleansing Stream Ministries (CSM). CSM was born out of Jack Hayford’s ministry and is a leading discipleship program that under Bill’s leadership saw thousands of lives changed.
Bill lived a life full of conviction, leadership and influence. His wisdom and experience will be sadly missed by his family and the many leaders and churches that looked to him for guidance and strength. Bill loved his family and passed away with Robyn and his children by his side. Whilst we all wanted to see him free from disease, we rejoice that he has received his eternal reward and is no doubt having many discussions with those that have gone before.
